Beginner Guide to Finding Your Birth Chart

Did you know you have more than one sign?

Yes, might be a Gemini because you were born in early June. But you might also be a Pisces Moon, a Scorpio Rising, and a Taurus Mercury, and so on.

Below, I'll show you how to find a simple and free little list of all your placements, no fancy app or symbol decoder necessary.

You will need:

✓ Your birth date
✓ Your birth location
✓ Your exact birth time

Instructions

Go to this website and enter your birth information.

Try not to get overwhelmed by the scary circle chart that comes up.

Scroll down until you see a yellowish color bar with these words: AI-ChatGPT - Astrology Data Export. Just trust me.

Copy the planet positions immediately below that, and then paste into a notes app or doc for future reference.

If you're feeling lost, here's a video that walks through the process:

Sun in Aries 24°15’, in 10th House
Moon in Taurus 12°20’, in 10th House
Mercury in Taurus 12°21’, in 10th House
Venus in Gemini 1°33’, in 11th House
Mars in Taurus 6°48’, in 10th House
Jupiter in Sagittarius 10°26’, Retrograde, in 5th House

You should now have a list of all of your signs and their corresponding houses/degrees that looks something like what you see here.

These are your birth chart placements, just in a "list view" instead of the more common "wheel" view. Real astrologers will insist the wheel is the only way, but this is a perfectly respectable starting point if you just want to explore what it means to have Venus in Sagittarius, or Mercury in Capricorn.

Google your placements, ie "Moon in Sagittarius," or whatever. There are many free Internet resources.

I also have a fun, "real language" guide here.
